Skin Search is a private Skin Examination and Imaging Service located in South Perth, Western Australia.

Its primary objective is the early detection of all skin cancers, particularly melanoma.

This is achieved through the use of sophisticated and high tech computerised photography, including dermoscopic (microscopic) imaging. These images are assessed by specialist dermatologist Dr Tim Elliott, who provides a written report with recommendations for treatment if appropriate.

Who does the skin checks and digital imaging?

Skin checks are performed by a (non dermatologist) medical doctor with specific expertise in skin examinations, while the photographic imaging is performed by either a specially trained technician or medical doctor.

If further testing or treatment is required, what are the options?

Patients needing further testing or treatment may be referred to the doctor/specialist of their choice. Alternatively, they may have the initial testing and or treatment done within the practice

The practice is closely associated with specialist dermatology practice – South Perth Specialist Skin Cancer Centre as well as Laser Skin Care
