18/11/09 | Reconstructive Surgery- find out what methods are used to reconstruct the wound after skin cancer removal.
After skin cancers are removed the skin must be repaired. The different methods depend on the site, the size as well as other factors. Surgical repairs include simple side-to-side closures, simple and complex skin flaps, grafts. Also possible is "healing by secondary intention", where the skin is left to heal itself.
