After skin cancers are removed the skin must be repaired. The different methods depend on the site, the  size as well as other factors.  Surgical repairs include simple side-to-side closures, simple and complex skin flaps, grafts. Also possible is "healing by secondary intention", where the skin is left to heal itself.
